Local Memory Morning at the Museum 7 November
The Ongar Millennium History Society are holding a Museum Memory Morning on the 7th of November, within our museum space in Budworth Hall, to which we invite anyone who would like to share their past stories and memories of our lovely town. We would like to record our discussions (with consent) for inclusion in our archive. If you have any local historic documents, photos or items you would like to lend or donate to our museum, please bring them along on the day. We will be there to welcome you between 10am and 1pm. Light refreshments will be provided.

ECFRS Community Risk Management Plan Consultation
Essex County Fire and Rescue Service (ECFRS) is launching a public consultation to help shape its future.
The consultation invites anyone who lives, works, or visits Essex to share their views on proposed changes that will be included in the Service plans to identify and manage risks across Essex over the next five years.

Essex Police - Epping and Ongar Community Policing Team 'Lets Talk'
Community policing is about keeping our communities safe. It’s about knowing your community and understanding the things that matter to you. We want our communities to have the confidence that we will keep you safe.
Community Policing Teams have police officers, police community support officers, and special constables. They work to prevent crime, deter criminals and make sure those intent on causing our communities harm are stopped.
Your Community Policing Team will work with local organisations, authorities, and community leaders. They will listen to community concerns and find solutions to resolve problems.

Adopt a pot scheme for local businesses, interest groups and families’ Ongar Town council are looking for business/groups that would like to ‘adopt a pot’. This will mean that each planter/container will be planted and maintained by that group, throughout the year. We would like our local businesses and interest groups to consider taking this on to keep our high street looking bright and colourful not just for residents but for those people who also visit our town.
